Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Apau Jr.
Founder
A Brief History
At a young age Bishop, Dr. Emmanuel Apau, the founder of the ministry, encountered a man of God who prayed for him and told him that the Lord would speak to him that night during his sleep. That night during his sleep, he heard a man calling his name and saying “You are going to be my minister”.
Around the age of 10, Bishop started to write gospel songs although he did not know specifically what he would use them for and neither did he envision himself as a singer. Besides his musical talents, God also granted him the grace to preach the Word. His first preaching was on Sunday at The Apostolic Church Ghana-Aboabo at the age of twelve. He continued to preach even throughout his teenage years and many lives were touched in the schools he attended as a result. Together with some of his mates, he also began to dedicate more time in prayer at the school farm. Given his many ailments, some of his peers made fun of him for preaching while others respected his dedication. After completing junior high school, he started to preach in various public spaces, towns, bus stations, etc., and also began to follow an older minister to radio stations for more preaching.
Over several years, the Lord sent several men of God to him to strengthen His Word and to confirm His call for international evangelism. Despite the challenge of his illnesses, the Lord opened the door for Bishop to come to the U.S. in 2002. In the U.S., he committed himself to serve the Lord faithfully at a local church. During his prayers in 2008, after traveling back to Ghana for the first time, the Lord gave him the name of the ministry, Worldlight Revival Ministries, and told him to write it down. Worldlight Revival Ministries was registered in 2016 in Ghana as a non-profit organization with the assignment of proclaiming the gospel during the End-Time Revival and to minister His Word in various forms.
Over time, the Lord has gradually revealed the different folds of the ministry’s vision. It is the heart desire of the Lord to use this ministry to train and equip ministers, raise true music ministers and raise evangelists through various programs, organizations, and services under the umbrella of WRM.
